Michelle Spillar
Michelle Spillar has 9 years experience in Meteorology. Having completed an MSc in Applied Meteorology at Reading University, Michelle moved to the Met Office to work as a weather forecaster.
Working at the sharp end of the weather, providing detailed forecasts to important customers including the UK Armed Forces, Energy Companies and the Environment Agency, she gained an in-depth understanding of the impacts of the weather on critical operations and planning.
Michelle has a comprehensive knowledge of both weather and climate change science and has substantial experience in explaining and communicating this to customers, gained during her role as an instructor at the Met Office College.
Michelle now specialises in the Water Sector, using her meteorological background to understand customer requirements in both weather and climate change.
